My Favorite Was a Story About Adventure
Last night I went to my parent’s house and helped my folks clean out the garage. Up in the rafters I found an old trunk that I used when I was away at UW Madision. I honestly had forgotten about the battered old thing. Inside I found old photos, books, and a bag of cool dice I collected when I used to play Dungeons and Dragons. I also found a folder filled with short stories that I had written for a creative writing class I had enrolled in when I was a sophomore. Looking back, I have to admit that some of the writing was pretty good. My favorite was a story I had written a story about an adventuring party slaying a dragon. The piece was entitled Quest for Adventure and I ended up getting a solid A from Professor Wite, the English teacher. Who knows, maybe I should start writing again, but I first need to go back to my parent’s house and help finish the clean up job I had started.
