What is hypnosis exactly?
Hypnosis is a state of mind where the conscious, wakeful mind of an individual easily opens to suggestion at its discretion. Being awake the mind is able to decide what is in line with ones beliefs and values.
How does it feel to be hypnotized?
Light hypnosis is similar to the state just prior to falling asleep, when you are very relaxed similar to daydreaming.
How much will I remember from the session?
Sometimes one relaxes so completely that a conscious memory of the session is not available. The hypnotist offers suggestions for you to remember which can help you after hypnosis. Most people remain fully aware of all that occurs.
Am I going to lose control when I am hypnotized?
NO. A person being hypnotized is always in control. At anytime you can awaken from hypnosis when you want. You can not be hypnotized to do anything that is against your values or moral ethical codes.
Can everyone be hypnotized?
No. A small percentage of people including person of low intelligence? IQ- and others on certain medications can not or should not be hypnotized. Please let the hypnotist know all the medications you are on. The depth of hypnotic state varies among individuals. As one becomes more comfortable one can often reach deeper levels of hypnosis.
