A Smart Decision for Your Plants
Grow, micro and bloom. These are the words you hear thrown around all the time when it comes to nutrients. The originator, General Hydroponics, is one of the oldest companies producing hydroponic nutrients. This formula is so popular that you have almost every other company copying their products. They even copy the name. This is another issue. The main point is that you need to separate the nutrients in order to prevent binding of the elements.
Plants require at least 16 base nutrients to properly grow. Some nutrients produce these 16 nutrients while others don’t. While most plants will grow without all of the necessary nutrients, some will not. At the end, you want to make sure you are providing your plants the base nutrients. This is why these nutrient levels are shown on every label. They are the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium numbers. These numbers give you an idea of what the nutrient is good for. Different plants have different requirements for these levels. Once you know the proper nutrient levels, you are then able to make a smart purchase.
