Understanding the changes in the
brain chemicals and operative parts of the brain when alcohol becomes an
addiction is essential to creating a healing environment for this disease.
Addiction occurs when chemicals in the brain interfere with communication
between the three basic parts of the brain. These chemicals make it
extraordinarily difficult for the person who has developed the disease of
alcoholism to make different decisions despite the consequences.
Once facets of our society start working together in more productive ways
the disease of alcoholism can be treated more effectively. Families,
friends, employers, law enforcement workers, and health care professionals
alike become understandably exasperated by alcoholics making erroneous
judgments to drink/and or drink and drive. Yet the disease can be
controlled, if treated more like high blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy
etc.
Health care professionals can:
1. Refer to treatment
2. Treat alcoholics non-judgmentally when they remember the chemical
imbalance that causes the disease. Judges, courts and law enforcement
professionals can join the very successful drug courts around the
country to decrease the recidivism rate turning around the lives of
people afflicted with the disease of alcoholism
3. Referral to home care or
public health nurse for home visits.

Testimonial_______________
I began hypnosis with Caley a number of months ago. My goal was to
try to find out what it is that doesn't allow me to lose weight.
Through Caley's help with the hypnosis, I got to the root of my
problem and found that I'm now eating healthier and losing weight,
which is an added bonus. I've also lost my love of chocolate, which
is something I never planned on or expected. But I couldn't be
happier! I have told anyone who will listen to me how much hypnosis
has helped me and how I believe it could help them when they are
ready. I will be eternally grateful for Caley introducing me to
hypnosis as it has definitely changed my life for the better.
